Blake Blain, Clinical Psychologist, founder and director of B Psychology.

Blake Blain

Blake is a registered Clinical Psychologist, Founder and Director of B Psychology. He has gained experience over several years working with adults and older adults across various settings within public mental health and in private practice. Blake provides a comprehensive assessment to deepen individuals understanding of their difficulties and what maintains them. He focuses on providing counselling and psychotherapy to assist individuals work towards their desired changes.


Blake is motivated to continue helping individuals improve their lives through targeting problems ranging in acuity and severity. These problems may relate to mental disorders including:

  • anxiety
  • depression 
  • psychotic
  • obsessive-compulsive
  • trauma related 
  • dissociative
  • impulse control, and 
  • personality disorders. 


or other difficulties relating to:

  • suicidality and self-harming; 
  • stress; 
  • low self-esteem and confidence; 
  • grief and loss; 
  • life transition; 
  • relationship difficulties; 
  • social difficulties; 
  • loneliness: and
  • conflict, to name a few.


Blake is trained in, and continues to develop several evidence based approaches including:

  • Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT)
  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), 
  • Mindfulness based therapies. 


Blake is an accredited CAT Practitioner and this modality greatly informs Blake's therapeutic work. It is a collaborative therapy focused on supporting individuals recognise and work towards shifting the most unhelpful patterns that are present in their lives.


Blake values creating a safe space where clients are heard and collaborated with to deepen their understanding of themselves, and improve their lives and overall wellbeing. 

Jessica Du, Psychologist, contractor to B Psychology.

Jessica Du

Jessica is a registered psychologist with Ahpra who has been practising since 2019, in both private practice and public settings such as the hospital, school and community. She is especially interested in mental health issues and emotional wellbeing among those who may be new in the country, experience adjustment issues, or feeling marginalised in the community one way or another. Her therapeutic approaches include:

- Cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT),

- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and

- Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT).


Jessica believes in empowering clients to shape the kind of life that is meaningful and satisfying as guided by their values. She enjoys exploring how people’s different approaches to emotions and interpersonal relationships may have an impact on their mental health and wellbeing. 


Jessica works with individual with the following presentations in both English and Mandarin:

- Anxiety issues related to performance, social interactions, chronic worry

- Adjustment issues (reallocation, migration, major changes in relationships/ work situations)

- Depression

- Emotion dysregulation (unstable mood, big mood swings, impulsively acting on emotions)

- Insomnia

- Issues around identify and self-worth

- Perfectionism

- Self-harm & suicidal ideation
